questions?
1. Will I get my hair wet?
No. We only go in the water up to the chest.
2. Do I need to know how to swim?
No. As long as you're comfortable in the water, you'll be able to do everything.
3. Will I hurt afterwards?
You shouldn't have any more than the usual feeling that your muscles have been worked. The reduced gravity of the water will allow you to stretch beyond your normal abilities and open up the heart, lungs, and body. We all must listen to our own bodies.
4. Do I have to wear a bathing suit?
No. You can wear whatever is comfortable such as shorts and workout top/t-shirt. For outdoor classes, I do recommend wearing a UV rashguard shirt. The sun reflects on the water so sunscreen and a hat are recommended as well.
5. Is the water good for me if I have a bad back and knees?
Yes. It is the BEST place for you to exercise, tone up, and strengthen your back, core, and knee/leg muscles. Water is 12-18% resistance of land, so you will build your muscles with every movement. With the water's buoyancy and reduced gravity, your body will glide in the water without pain and allow you to move freely.
